Be Seen. Be Heard. Be Here.

Here at Wombat, we recognize that too often, folks in our communities face barriers when trying to get the specialized mental health care they deserve.
That’s why we’re here – to disrupt mental health inequities.
But we can’t do it alone.

How You Can Help

Wombat MHS is a charitable project fiscally sponsored by SPM Disability Justice Fund, a 501(c)3 nonprofit public charity providing fiscal sponsorship services to disability justice projects led by disabled Black people, Indigenous people, and people of color.

Finding a compatible therapist can be overwhelming no matter who you are. The journey to mental health care is more complex for folks who are a part of underserved and underrepresented communities.

Your generous donation can help us bridge those gaps and provide vital mental health services to our community members. Even though we’re a “for-profit” agency, we are guided by a social justice lens, which means our goal is not capital. Our goal is community empowerment and doing what we can to ensure more and more of our community has access to the care they deserve.

How are funds used?

Daily Operations

Non-discretionary funds gifted will be used towards day-today activities required in maintaining Wombat MHS, LCSW PC, including marketing and community resources.

Mental Health Assistance

To assist our LGBTQIA2S, BIPOC, Deaf, Disabled Communities; alleviate financial barriers; provide equitable access to mental health

Scaling Up

To formulate reindigenized mental health curriculum; create culturally appropriate interventions; provide safe, nonjudgmental support groups and drop-in centers

Every dollar you give directly supports our mission to create a more equitable and accessible mental health landscape for our communities. And most importantly, your donations directly fund therapy sessions for folks who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford them.

Know that the money will be put to the right place–making therapy accessible.

Join us in creating tangible change.
