I believe meaningful support begins with relationship, respect, and community. I strive to create welcoming, affirming experiences where people feel seen, connected, and supported. Whether I’m helping someone access services or coordinating behind the scenes, I approach every interaction with compassion, collaboration, and a commitment to making resources accessible.

Outside of Wombat Mental Health Services, Joey is an active volunteer, clothing designer, and gamer. They enjoy building community through creative spaces, supporting nonprofit organizations, and bringing people together through shared experiences and mutual care.

Community experience

Joey has served as a longtime board member for a Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization, helping coordinate fundraising efforts, community advocacy, volunteer engagement, and organizational initiatives. Their experience working with diverse communities has strengthened their skills in communication, event coordination, collaboration, and community-centered leadership.
